Edgar, South girls win SE Invite
In an exciting evening of bowling at Northrock Lanes, the Wichita West High School boys bowling team won the Southeast Invite, with a total series score of 2,254.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was Cameron Unruh, with 635 total pins. Assisting him in the victory was Van Rooney, who added 611 pins.
Wichita Southeast finished only 24 total pins behind West, with a total of 2,230 pins. Wichita South finished with 1,764 pins.
On the women's side, a spectacular performance from two of Wichita South High School's bowlers propelled the Titans to a victory. The Titans finished with a total score of 2,202 pins.
Anchoring the Titans was Cassie Edgar, with a series total of 730 pins, including one frame where she fell 11 pins shy of a perfect game.
Coach Darin Culver said that "she [Cassie] works really hard, as does everyone else." He also added that "a win is always nice, it really is. Hopefully we can carry it into the next meet."
Alexis Shear added 579 pins for South.
Wichita Southeast finished second with a total of 1,732 pins, followed by Wichita West with 1,382 pins
