West hands North sixth loss of the season

Wichita, Kan. --- North and West met at Northwest High School for a Thursday night showdown in week 6.

The Pioneers hit the Redskins first; capitalizing off of a turnover and a blocked punt which led to two touchdowns in the first quarter.

North was unable to get their passing game in a rhythm and met a tough West defense which limited the Redskins to only 6 points and out of the endzone the entire last half of the game.

After carrying a 40 point lead into halftime, the Pioneers took a break and didn't find the endzone as much in the second half.

West would go on to beat North 59-6 and earn their third win of the season, making them .500 so far on the season.
North is still waiting for it's first win of the season, currently sitting 0-6.

The Pioneers will face South for week 7 while the Redskins have a tough matchup against Bishop Carroll.
