Earlier in the night, St. John High School retired the number 32 of Dean Wade. Wade graduated in 2015 and went on to start four years at Kansas State. He currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and their G League team the Canton Charge.
The Tigers jumped out to a 9 to 0 lead in the first quarter. They did not allow a Victoria score until almost three minutes remaining in the quarter.
St. John ended the first half leading 39 to 13.
They continued to dictate the game in the second half. The fourth quarter saw a running clock due to a thirty point difference.
"What was really good tonight is we got everyone in the scorebook," said St. John Head Coach Clint Kinnamon. "Everybody that suited up scored."
If there was one thing that caused Coach Kinnamon some pain in the game, it was turnovers. "I thought we turned it over mindlessly tonight. That's something we got to get better at. When I sub in those guys, we can't do that."
Victoria's Kyle Pickering lead all scorers with 15 points.
Marshall Woolf, Elijah Delp, and Tanner Halling each had 12 points for St. John.
Victoria sees their record fall to 1 and 15.
St. John improves their record to 15 and 3.
