Southeast uses second half to top Heights
Heights and Southeast were knotted at 26 at halftime, Tuesday's GWAL match-up seemed to be up for grabs before Southeast was able to break away for a 70-53 win.
The opening frames held two evenly matched teams, each trading baskets early. Jackie Johnson was had the hot hand for the Buffaloes, creating offense at will for Southeast while Alex Norris and Bronxon Frierson led the way for Heights.
The first half featured runs from both teams before ultimately meeting at the break. Southeast jumped out to a 5-0 run thanks to Johnson, but Heights answered right away with a run of their own.
Southeast will play Kapaun later on this week while Heights will host North.
