Southeast boys survive slow start, take down Lawrence

WICHITA, Kan. Southeast Sophomore Jackie Johnson showed off for the home fans Wednesday night at Koch arena, scoring 32 points, and leading the Golden Buffaloes to a 70-67 win. The win moves Southeast to the 6A state semifinals.

Johnson did much of his damage from the free throw line, shooting 13-15 fro the charity stripe. He was just 1-10 from 3-point range. Micah Jacques chipped in with another 18 points.

Lawrence missed a potential game tying three at the buzzer in regulation.

Southeast advances to play Washburn Rural Friday at 8:15 PM.
