Scott City allows first points of year, still blasts Russell 56-7

Scott City entered Friday night as one of only two teams to not allow a point through four games of action, joining Maize from Class 5A.

That streak came to an end Friday, but one Russell touchdown would not be near enough to outscore a potent Scott City offense, as the Beavers came away with a 56-7 victory to move to 5-0 on the year. Five different Beaver players ran for scores to pace the Beavers offensive attack.

Scott City will look to stay unbeaten with a long road trip to Beloit coming next week. Russell faces yet another unbeaten team squaring off with 5-0 Colby at home.
