The Mustangs just keep on winning. Winless the last two seasons, Salina Central now sits at 5-1 ahead of a big matchup with unbeaten Maize.

Taylon Peters, who entered the game just shy of 1000 yards on the season through five games, got their with ease. In fact, he got there on his first carry of the game. That one of 38 on the day for the Mustang running back, a day where he crossed the 300 yard mark on the ground.

Newton was just unable to stop him from start to finish as he scored all five of the Mustang touchdowns to lead them to a fourth consecutive win.

With the loss, Newton drops to 2-4, traveling to Eisenhower next week.
