Salina Central continues strong start with big win over Campus

Salina Central is no longer out to only surprise people. Rather, they're just good.

After giving up an opening quarter touchdown to Campus, the Mustangs rattled off 48 unanswered points before knocking the previously 3-1 Colts off 48-17.

Taylon Peters ran for over 280 yards on a rainy night in Salina, adding three scores as the Mustangs moved to 4-1 on the year--a far cry from the 0-18 record the team posted the last two seasons. The Mustangs will now look to secure a winning regular season record on the road at Newton next week. Campus will face off with Wichita Southeast in a 6A matchup.
