Rose Hill started the second half strong after building a seven-point first-half lead. The Rockets jumped all over Collegiate in the third quarter, allowing just six points.

Rose Hill built a big lead it would keep for a 50-38 win.

The Rockets punched holes in Collegiate’s press defense all night, which put Collegiate in bad defensive position, allowing Rose Hill to do almost anything it wanted offensively.

The connection of Jayden Chickadonz and Lexi Rose worked well for Rose Hill throughout, as Rose led her team with 16 points.

Collegiate struggled on the offensive end, as well. Almost any time a Spartan touched the ball, they looked unsure of what to do next. The Spartans only real offensive threat was Maddy Mairs, who scored a game-high 21 points down low. She also had a few decent blocks for the Spartans.

The only other Spartan to score more than five points was Ellie Munds with 11. Rose Hill’s Haley Thrush also finished with 11 points.

With the win Friday night, Rose Hill sweeps the season series.

Collegiate’s next game is against Clearwater on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Rose Hill will host Mulvane on Feb. 27.
