--Down goes number one. If Kapaun was to make a return trip to state after last year's third place finish, they had to get by Andover Central. The Jaguars entered 5A as the top seed, losing just one game--last week to Maize South. The Crusaders went to Andover and took it to the Jags, delivering a commanding 6-2 win. Up next for them, another Holy War. The Crusaders get rival Bishop Carroll, who tonight got a 1-0 road win at McPherson after allowing just one shot on goal.

--Speaking of Maize South, they won on a late goal in what was easily the match of the night.

The Mavs' Andrew Bliss weaved through the Eisenhower defense to deliver a stunning 2-1 double overtime win. Maize South will now host Cinderella at their place Tuesday, because 15 seed Great Bend won yet again. Two trips to Salina in three days was not too much for the Panthers, where they followed Tuesday's win over 2 seed Central with a 3-1 win at South.

--In class 6A, the two remaining CIK are teams will be hitting the road for the quarterfinals after a pair of 1 goal victories. After surrendering the opening goal to Campus, Dodge City scored twice in the second half, including the game winner with under two minutes to play. They now face Manhattan Tuesday night.

--Derby meanwhile took the long trip to Liberal where they upset the 4th seeded Redskins 1-0 on a second half goal from Saul Munoz. Derby goes to top seed Washburn Rural where they will look to keep the magic rolling.

--In 4-1A, just one school that entered regionals with a winning record will be playing on Tuesday. Buhler, the second seed, shut out Berean 3-0 to earn the 1 seed in the quarterfinals. They will play host to Winfield, who followed their upset of Classical earlier in the week with a 2-0 win over Wichita Independent in a 12-13 matchup.

--Thomas More Prep joined the fray of teams coming away with big upsets in this bracket, going to Coffeyville and shutting out the Golden Tornado 3-0. They draw Topeka-Hayden, the 11 seed that won at home against #14 Wichita Trinity 3-1 to move on.
