Friday, August 30th marked the unofficial start of the 2019 high school football season with jamborees going down across Kansas.

Earlier in 2019, KSHSAA passed a vote allowing jamborees to be held prior to the season's start. Jamborees allow schools to hold scrimmages against other teams, 3 or 4 at each location, with each team limited to 36 offensive plays.

One such jamboree was held at Wichita Heights High School, where the Falcons welcomed Maize and Garden City to help kick off the season.
