PHOTOS: Derby's Kennedy Brown honored for All-America Selection

Thursday night, during a special halftime ceremony of Derby's sub-state win over Campus, Panther senior Kennedy Brown was presented with a jersey commemorating her selection as a McDonald's All-American.

Brown was selected as one of 24 players nationwide to play in the All-American game, set for March 27th in Atlanta. Brown, along with teammate Tor'e Alford, were both among 800+ nominees to play in the all-star game. In addtion, Derby boys head basketball coach Brett Flory will serve as an assistant coach for the boys game that same day.

Brown is set to continue her basketball career at the collegiate level next season, playing at Oregon State University.

Derby went on to keep their perfect record in tact, improving to 20-0 with a 68-38 win over Campus. Brown scored 24 points to lead Derby in the win.
