Northwest wins track meet with Carroll 84-67

If you're not a fan of defense, the Northwest high school was the place to be on Friday night.

The Grizzles gave up 67 points to defending champion Bishop Carroll--and still won. That's what happens when you hang 84 points yourself.

Breece Hall, on the day he was named to play in the All-American Bowl, scored half of the 12 touchdowns put up by the Grizzlies offense.

This one nothing like the first time the two schools met this year, when Northwest won 23-22 on a field goal as time expired.

After sending the defending champs home, Northwest will finish out with Maize in next week's sub-state game. The Grizzlies advanced to sub-state a year ago as well, falling to Derby while playing in class 6A.
