On the opening drive for the Golden Eagles, Aiden Niedens is pushed out of the pocket, scrambling looking for a receiver and he's tackled.
The ball comes out and Darrius Cooper is right there to scoop it up but it's ruled a safety and the Grizzlies are first on the board 2-0.

Several turnovers by Northwest, including a muffed punt recovery where the ball bounced off a Northwest jersey and Justin Powell pounced on it for the Bishop Carroll recovery that would lead to a field goal. Golden Eagles taking the lead 3-2.

NW's Reagan Jones handed it off to Julius Bolden for the short run up the middle into the endzone. The missed PAT makes it an 8-3 score.

Before halftime, Carroll responded with Nieden connecting with Oscar Gallardo who plowed down the sideline for the touchdown.
Golden Eagles took the lead into the half 10-8.

The second half was a back and forth fight with the Grizzlies cleaned up things from the first half and got the Week One jitters out of their system.
But Bishop Carroll rallied the comeback on Nieden's break out run down the field.
That would put the Golden Eagles in the redzone resulting in a touchdown.

In the final minutes of the fourth quarter,
Jones threw it to Zion Jones in the wing. He took it to the house fighting off defenders and gave Northwest the momentum it needed to close out the game with a 21-17 final.
A Grizzlies interception sealing the deal for Northwest with seconds remaining in the game.
