Behind a game best 23 points from Hayes Schmid, McPherson rolled by Circle, clinching an 8th straight league title in AVCTL-III.

The Bullpups got off to a blazing start, leading by as much as 18 with all five seniors that started their final home game getting in on the scoring. But it was an underclassman that stole the show, Seth Madron throwing down an alley-oop that closed the scoring in the first quarter.

But the second quarter turned in the favor of the T-Birds. They closed the gap going on a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to 10, keeping that spread entering the break.

But the first quarter Bullpups showed up again to start the third, scoring the first seven points of the quarter and getting the lead back to 17, never looking back in the 22 point win.

Schmid scored 16 of his 23 after the break, with Cody Stufflebean and Madron both adding 9 out of the locker room to finish with 13 each.

The win for Mac sits them at 13-6 on the year with one game remaining against Augusta ahead of sub-state where they will likely enter as the number 5 or 6 seed.
