HAYSVILLE, Kan.--- Maize girls basketball got out to a fast start against Campus and kept the foot on the gas till the end of the game.
The Eagles beat the Colts 55-19. Campus was able to get their first field goal in the second quarter but didn't have much luck at the rim.
In the first half, Kyla Frenchers driving the lane but kicked it out to Baylee MIller and she kissed it off the glass to put the Eagles up 6-1.
Again Frenchers drew some bodies inside and she sent it back out to Sydney Holmes. Taking the shot but Holmes' foot's just over the line and that's 8 unanswered points for Maize.
Holmes taking it across the court and passed it over to Madison Lambert for another long two. That put the Eagles up 10-1.
Campus still fighting as Tya Tindall lobbed it up to Tristin Smith in transition. Smith took it to the net and laid it in for the Colts first field goal of the game.
