Maize boys makes it an Eagle sweep over Maize South

MAIZE, Kan.--- A close game for the first few mintues of the Maize South versus Maize boys game.
Then Jacob Hanna drives to the net and kisses it off the glass to give Maize the lead 7-6.

Preven Christon in the paint, hits the spin move and he goes up and lays it in. Drawing some contact along the way and he'd head tot he free throw line to give the Eagles the three point lead.

Ben Crowell launches it up from downtown and drains it to put the Mavericks within one point, 10--11.

Winston Bing on the steal, he takes it back the other way and slings it inside to Jaden Gustafson for the bucket. Maize goes up 18-12.

Crowell goes baseline and spots Parker Scott open in the corner. Scott throws up the long ball and nails it to narrow the Maize lead to three.

KJ Hampton hits a three for Maize to go up six.
Gaining a comfortable lead, the Eagles pull their starters and finish the game out with a 73-61 victory over Maize South.
Steve Fessenden records a loss in his first game as Maize South's head coach but his squad will host Valley Center on Tuesday, February 11th.

On Tuesday, February 11th, Maize will travel to Buhler.
