VALLEY CENTER, Kan. (KWCH) -- Maize South scored 20 second quarter points to take a 10-point lead into the locker room, and never looked back. The Mavericks took down Topeka Seaman 70-51 in the first round of the Valley Center January Jam tournament.
The Mavericks were led by a trio of scorers in double-figures. Trey Reid finished with 19 points, followed closely by Nolan Veenis (16) and Kael Kordonowy (15).
Vikings' Kobe Bonner led all shooters with 25 points.
