After a 2-2 start to the season, Maize South picked up their best win of the young season Friday, topping Ark City 63-50.
After a back and forth opening quarter, Maize South took their biggest lead of the half early in the second with Trey Reid going on a 7-0 run by himself to make it a 21-14 game. Ark CIty answered with 5 of their own before Ben Crowell sunk his third of four three pointers to push the lead back to five before half.
Then after half, the Maize South offense took off, scoring 37 points after the break and not looking back in the 13 point win.
Reid lead all scorers with 24 points, Adam Kasitz was right behind him with 16, 12 of those coming in the second half.
