Maize South remains unbeaten after passing Maize 54-47 Friday night. It was the first win for the Mavericks against the Eagles in school history and a new record for program wins.
Maize jumped out to a hot start early in the first half, and seemed to be in control.
The Mavericks turned the tide of the game early in the second half. Strong play from Katie Wagner around the rim paired with huge shots from behind the arc courtesy of Lexi Snodgrass boosted Maize South to its fourteenth win of the season.
