Larned tried to set the tone early on with a full court press. Lyons figured that out and slowly built up a lead as the Lady Indians stopped pressing.

In the second quarter, Kristina Head lead the way for the Lady Lions. She ended the first half tallying 17 points. Her offensive efforts gave her team a twelve point lead at the break, 26 to 18.

After halftime, Larned woke up. They started with a six-point run. By three minutes remaining in the quarter, they tied Lyons with 30 points all.

Then the Lady Indians took full control of the game.

The Larned defense held Kristina Head to only four points in the second half.

"We didn't come out as strong as we usually do," said Larned Lady Indian Head Coach Ashley Crosby. "We made adjustments at half time and switch up our press. We put more pressure on their guards. It really paid off for us."

Kristina Head of Lyons lead all scorers with 21 points. Katelynn Sanger of Larned lead the Indians with 11 points.

The Lyons Lady Lions record falls to 3 and 4.

The Larned Lady Indians improve to 3 and 5 on the season.
