Former Circle Thunderbird Jordan Phillips is back in Towanda for the offseason. Tonight, Circle High School honored Phillips with his white number 80 high school football jersey. His high school coach Lee LaMunyon was on hand for the occassion.
These days Phillips spends his time wearing number 97 playing Defensive Tackle for the Miami Dolphins. Miami finished their season with a loss to the Steelers last month in the AFC Wild Card round. Phillips played in all 17 games for Dolphins this season with 26 tackles and an interception against the Jets.
The former Oklahoma Sooner says he enjoys coming back to the community to encourage young athletes to fulfill their dreams.
