A year ago if you had said Inman would be hosting and winning a playoff game today, not many would believe you.
In week nine of 2017, the Teutons were wrapping up an 0-9 season and preparing for the offseason. Fast forward to week 9 this season, and you're seeing an Inman team entering the day with a 5-3 mark and hosting Stanton County to begin cross-district play.
Even playing without star player Matt Ramey, the Teutons came out of the game hot, picking off the Trojans' Jalen Tucker on the third play of the game, and immediately followed that up with a big touchdown pass to Jaxon Eddy to go up 7-0.
The next possession, the Teutons turned to the ground attack, capped by a short Nate Shober score. Justin Schroeder would keep that attack going with a score of his own to start the second quarter, and Inman would not look back, starting their 2018 postseason with a 44-10 home win.
Inman now awaits the winner of Sublette and unbeaten Elkhart in Regional play next Friday night.
