Heights earns commanding win over Carroll

The Heights Falcons opened their game with Bishop Carroll by scoring the first 12 points and never looked back, earning a 70-29 win to make a statement in GWAL play.

Each of the five starters for Heights made major contributions to pulling away early, jumping out to an 11 points lead through one and extending that to 45-17 at the break.

Zyanna Walker lead the way with 18, 12 of those coming in a dominant second quarter, while fellow sophomore Cayanna Stanley dropped 15 and Taylor Jameson put in 14.

The win keeps the Falcons undefeated at 8-0 overall with a game at second place Southeast coming Friday night. Carroll suffered just their second loss of the year; they host rival Kapaun Mt. Carmel their next time out.
