Hedges crowned 3-2-1A state champion

GARDEN CITY, Kan. Faith Hedges was one of the youngest golfers competing at the 3-2-1A girls’ state golf tournament Monday, but she was also the most victorious. The freshman from Lawrence-Bishop Seabury Academy was admittedly nervous, but won her first individual state championship with an 84.

"It’s a really exciting experience,” Hedges said. “I just had a fun time and I just tried my hardest. I feel like I played really good today. It was one of my best scores."
