Goddard uses late-game comeback to take down Hays

The Goddard Lions softball team used a late-game surge to take down Hays in the second game of a triangular. Hays also dropped game one to Maize 6-5.

Hays took a 4-0 lead into the 5th inning before the Lions battled back with a three-run inning. They followed that up with a two-run 7th to walk-off winners, 5-4.

Gentry Shepherd and Kinley Poynter led the Lions with three hits each. Shay Martinez added two.

Goddard defeats Maize 8-4 in the final game of the triangular.
