Goddard softball tops Northwest, 11-8

After an hour long lightning delay, Goddard and Northwest finally got in their 5A Quarterfinal match-up, and the Lions advance with an 11-8 win.

Goddard jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Northwest began to chip away from there. Eventually with the game tied at 6, Goddard's Bailey Kimbell brought home Kinley Poynter to give Goddard the lead back. It turned into a slug fest from there.

Goddard moves on to play Bishop Carroll in the semifinals.
