Garden Plain dominates Douglass 51-30 in week two

DOUGLAS, Kan. The Garden Plain Owls beat Douglass on the road in a 51-30 shootout in week two.

The Owls were the first team on the board, with a pass from quarterback Matt Pauly to tight end Jordan Thomas. That drive was followed by another touchdown pass to Marek Rex to put the Owls up 14-0 in the first quarter.

The Owls went on to blow the game open, leading 44 to 0 at half.

Garden Plain ended Douglass 7-2 season last year, which was the best season for the Bulldogs since 1996.
