Eisenhower shuts out McPherson in the quarterfinals

GODDARD, Kan. --- Eisenhower boys soccer came into the class 5A west quarterfinals as the top seed hosting fourth seed McPherson on Tuesday night.

The Tigers holding onto an undefeated record and came out fast to defend it. Three different players scored goals in the first half for Eisenhower.

The Bullpups put some pressure on the Tigers and took multiple shots on goal but none of them made it into the net.

In the second half, Eisenhower put the game away with four more goals. McPherson came close to putting a couple points on the board but Tyson Rey kicked shot away from an open net and the keeper pushed a ball out of the corner to hold onto the shutout.

Eisenhower (18-0-1) will face Overland Park-Blue Valley Southwest HS (14-4-1) in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 8th at 5 p.m. at Spring Hill High School.
