Eisenhower handles Andover Central at home

The Goddard Eisenhower Tigers used a solid second half outing to push themselves 65 to 56 over Andover Central.

Tuesday's match-up featured two of the best guards in the area, Xavier Bell and Jordan Vincent. Each have come into their own as their careers have progressed and will play at the next level. The first round between these two teams was decided by a Cody Houser buzzer beater in Andover. This game was just as competitive without the photo finish.

Eisenhower found success from behind the arc in the second half of action. Tiger Junior Nick Hogan was automatic from three-point range including finishing a four-point play after being bumped on a three pointer. Vincent got the Tigers going early and often by pushing the pace in transition and taking advantage of any opportunities Andover Central gave.

Bell seemed to be the main source of offense for the Jaguars at the beginning of the game whether he was scoring the ball himself or finding teammates to finish the job.

Down the stretch, Eisenhower made more shots when it mattered most and distanced themselves from Andover Central on the way to the win.
