He wasted no time showing how he got those points, as he gathered the ball from the tip off and hit a step-back, mid-range jumper to get the scoring started.
That set the tone for the class 5A No. 8 Tigers in the 56-52 win over Maize.
Vincent didn’t just score. He found teammates on multiple occasions, including Ethan Stewart on a three-pointer from the corner.
It seemed that no matter what Eisenhower did, Maize kept coming back. Jacob Hanna kept the Eagles in the game early on with a huge dunk and then a mid-range jumper of his own.
Eisenhower improves to 6-2 on the year and plays Hutchinson next while Maize falls to 4-5 and will face off against Newton in its next game.
