Derby boys stun Topeka High

TOPEKA, Kan. Going on the road as the 15 seed, the Derby boys stunned 2nd seeded Topeka High in the 6A boys sub-state playoffs. Not only did the Panthers win, they rolled the Trojans by a final score of 62-26.

It goes as one of the biggest upsets in the first days of the playoffs, at least by seeding.

Derby advances to play 7th seeded Lawrence Free State, in Lawrence, Friday night. Derby lost to Free State in this same round, back in 2017.
