Conner Frankamp sets school record

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- Conner Frankamp is now in the Wichita State record books.

He has shot a triple in 30-consecutive games, the new school record. That surpassed his own teammate Landry Shamet, who held the record at 29-consecutive games for only two games before failing to sink a three-pointer against Notre Dame.

Shamet had passed Ron Baker at the 28-mark.

Frankamp's former Wichita North High School coach Gary squires said he always had that work ethic.

"I would tell everybody he was a special shooter, special player," he said. "He worked hard every day in practice and then he spent a lot of time after practice working on his jump shot. there were nights after practice where he would make 100 threes before he left and with that kind of work ethic, he's going to be successful."
