Entering play as the 9th ranked team in Class 4A, Clearwater got all they could handle from Circle Tuesday, holding off the T-Birds 66-59.

The contest was a game of runs, with the Indians jumping out to a 12-1 lead only to see Circle answer with 13 straight points of their own to take a lead early in the second quarter.

Clearwater responded to go up 24-18, but again Circle got going, this time scoring 12 unanswered. The Indians again would provide an immediate response, taking a two point lead to the break and holding on for the much needed home win.

Clearwater now sits as the three seed in the 4A West playoff standings, improving to 11-4 on the season ahead of a big matchup with Andale on Friday night. Andale sits one spot ahead of Clearwater in the standings following play Tuesday.
