Behind a pair of bases clearing doubles from Brandon Terrones, Circle came back to win in a big way at home over Wellington Monday.
Terrones got things started for the T-Birds with a double down the left field line, scoring three runs to give Circle the quick lead. Wellington immediately answered with four of their own in the top of the second to grab the lead back, and the scoring in this one was just getting started.
Then in the fifth, with Wellington ahead 12-9, the Crusaders issued a bases loaded walk to cut the lead to two, bringing Terrones back to the dish. The senior again came through, scoring all three runs on a drive to the wall in left center, and Circle never looked back from that point on in what turned into an 18-15 win.
The T-Birds got the sweep on the night, taking game two from Wellington 10-4 to improve to 10-0 on the season.
