Cheney saw an 11 point third quarter lead nearly evaporate, but did enough late to hold off Garden Plain and improve to 14-3 on the season.

Kylee Scheer lead the way with 21 in pushing Cheney to the season sweep of their rivals, on the heels of reaching 1,000 career points earlier in the week.

Scheer got going in the second quarter, scoring 8 straight points in getting the Cheney lead up to 10.

That spread held up until the fourth when the Owls made their comeback, outscoring the Cardinals by 6 in the second half and getting the game as close as two points on two different occasions.

The Owls fouled Scheer with under 10 seconds to go in a two point game, with Scheer hitting one of two and giving the Owls a shot. However, they couldn't get the shot off on time and fell by 3, dropping just their fourth game of the season.
