DODGE CITY, Kan. It was business as usual for the Central Plains girls' basketball team Friday night as the Oilers extended the state's longest win streak to 111 games and marched into the Class 1A finals with a dominant performance against Thunder Ridge in Dodge City.

The Oilers built a 52-23 halftime lead Friday night and didn't look back on the way to the 78-36 state semifinal win.
In Saturday's Class 1A championship game, Central Plains will battle for their sixth consecutive state championship,the first in 1A after winning the previous five in 2A. Standing in the Oilers' way is Hanover, the defending 1A champs.
Emily Ryan led Central Plains with 33 points Friday night. The standout junior hit 12 of 15 shots, including 3 of 5 from deep.
