CLAFLIN, Kan. - The top-ranked Central Plains boys flexed their muscles by way of a 20-4 lead after one quarter. Senior Brett Liebl scored a layup on a pass from Alex Hickel as the horn sounded.

The second quarter fared little better for the Cougars, who fell behind 44-8 at the break. Myles Menges scored 10 points as part of a 22-0 run by the Oilers.
Lawson Oeser and Devin Ryan opened the second half with threes for Central Plains, then Liebl added two more points inside to push the lead to 52-8. On the other end, Cougar senior Maitland Wiltse answered with a pair of baskets. He scored 10 of the 15 Otis-Bison points on the night.
Liebl led all players with 20 points. Hickel and Menges each added 14 points for the Oilers, and Ryan finished with eight points and a handful of dazzling assists.
