A late goal from Anna Lasak to break a tie between two rivals proved to be the difference in giving Bishop Carroll the Titan Classic Championship over Kapaun Mt. Carmel Saturday afternoon.
Off an assist from Khloe Shuckman, Lasak put it past Kapaun keeper Maggie Koster to give the Golden Eagles a 2-1 advantage, that score proving to be the final tally.
Paige Liston got things started in the first half for Carroll, netting a header off a corner kick to make it 1-0, a score that half up for the next 55 minutes of game time.
Kapaun evened it out in the second half with Emily Michaelis scoring the Crusaders' lone goal of the day.
Earlier in the third place match, Maize took care of defending GWAL champion Wichita East 4-0. Reina Cline scored twice for 2018's third place team in 5A. The Eagles fell in the semifinals to Kapaun in match that went to penalty kicks.
