Bond helps St. John's cross country team separate from pack

BELOIT, Kan. The secret to success for the Beloit-St. John's High School cross country team really isn't a secret at all.

Bluejays' head coach Ben Letourneau says his runners are disciplined and focused, but the bond they share is what sets them apart.

The St. John's cross country team has only been around for a couple years and they already have a state title. The Bluejays won the Class 1A title last fall.

"We're a family. Everyone has their role," senior runner Adam Bates says.
