For Carroll, it was a mix of designed blitzes and defensive line play to force the West offense into numerous three and out situations. George Walden was a name called often on the night for the Carroll defense, credited for making plays including a tackle for loss.

Bishop Carroll would ultimately find points first in this game late in the second quarter. Hunter Trail punched in two touchdowns before the end of the first half. His second score came on the heels of Colby Hudspeth interception.

Bishop Carroll moves ahead of West in the City League standings following tonight's win. They will look for an upset next week against defending 6A champion, Derby. The Pioneers will face off in another city league showdown against Northwest.
