GODDARD, Kan. Andover Central controlled Tuesday's match-up in its entirety winning big 65 to 43 against Goddard Eisenhower.
Throughout the night, calls for more energy came from the Jaguar bench. Energy is what pushed Andover Central over the top.
The Jaguar attack started from the opening jump and didn't end until the clock hit zeroes. Over the course of the game the Jaguar energy seemed to wear on Eisenhower, forcing the Tigers into turnovers which led to points on the other end.
Andover Central spaced the floor on offense and moved the ball even better to create open looks from beyond the arc. The Jaguars made 13 three-point shots as a team. The shooting display was sponsored by an unselfish style of play the Jaguars held throughout the contest, making the extra pass to the open spot on the floor. Maddi Amekporfor found a number of her teammates including Bailey Wilborn who completed the task of putting points on the scoreboard.
Goddard Eisenhower, coming off of a solid win over Andover hoped to make it two wins in a row. Unlike the game against Andover, the Jaguars seemed to have an answer for everything Eisenhower tried.
Tiger sharpshooter, Kennedy Nicholson was able to make plenty of shots but each was earned. Andover Central passed off Nicholson to the next defender each time the Tigers would set a screen to try to free up space. Bridgette Graham also contributed to the Eisenhower effort down low and from beyond the arc.
Andover Central completes the season sweep of Eisenhower with the win.
