For the fourth year, the Catch It Kansas student sections rankings are back!

In 2018, area student sections came out strong to start the year, causing a big shake up from our preseason rankings. Before we get to those, as always, here's a recap of past champions

Fall 2015: Garden City High School

Winter 2015-16: Berean Academy

Fall 2016: Goddard High School

Winter 2016-17: Andover High School

Fall 2017: Garden City High School

Winter: 2017-18: McPherson High School

Let's get to the rankings. Starting us out at the top...

(1) Andover

The number in the embed tweet is a bit off--the Trojans actually raised over $1,700 for the American Cancer Society. AND they smashed pumpkins. AND they did a shirt swap from blue to pink.

That's how you get the top spot back to back weeks.

(2) Derby

I said their time was coming. If not for what Andover did on Friday night, they would take home the top spot. I mean The Den broke Thor's hammer, not just anyone can do that!

(3) Andover Central

The Jags were live for the Backyard Brawl--and they got to celebrate a win over rival Andover. Not a bad Friday night.

(4) Goddard

Goddard stays at the forefront of creativity in student sections. This is the first I've seen a school use rain as a theme! Even if it wasn't actually raining...

(5) Kapaun

A three hour road trip is a daunting task. Kapaun made it look like they were playing in West Wichita. That is dedication.

(6) Garden City

You always have to go big for the Hatchet game. The Buffs did just that, making Dodge feel like a home stadium for them.

(7) Maize South

The Mavs student section helped make something truly special happen, raising $900 for a classmate fighting cancer.

(8) Northwest

Pink out + a big win over Heights makes for a wild student section. That's how the Grizzlies make their return to the top ten.

(9) Campus

Superhero night at Derby stretched to the opposing stands, where Campus came out in full force for rivalry week. Shouts to Mermaid Man for making the trip.

(10) Wellington

The Crusaders make it back to back weeks in the top ten with a great road showing at Winfield. This week's game with Mulvane will be crazy.
