Catch it Kansas Director
Matt joined the KWCH team in 2015 and has worn many hats in his time here, now as the director for Catch it Kansas and the KWCH sports department.
He grew up in southeast Kansas before attending Pittsburg State, graduating in 2013. He then took a part time job with KOAM-TV in Pittsburg, eventually moving to a full time photographer role while helping the sports department on the side.
In 2015 he made the jump to KWCH as a photographer before being offered the role of sports producer in April of 2018, where he took on the role of managing both the weekly Catch it Kansas show and Sports Sunday. He's gotten the opportunity to cover big events from the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl to Kansas cutting down the nets to win the NCAA Tournament in his time with KWCH. In the summer of 2022 he made the jump from producer to director, now overseeing the sports staff for the largest station in Kansas.
In his spare time Matt can't stay away from sports, whether attending games in person or watching on television. He is a big music buff, amassing a large vinyl record collection and would go to concerts weekly if he could.
