Kapaun fends off Eisenhower to get to 5A title game
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kapaun Crusaders are one win away from finishing a historic season on top. Kapaun fought off a late rally from Eisenhower to advance to next Saturday’s Class 5A title game against all-state power, Mill Valley.

Friday night, Kapaun, powered by arguably the best running back in Kansas in senior Omari Elias, held on against Eisenhower, 42-39. The Crusaders move to 11-1 while the Tigers’ dream season comes to an end at 10-2.
Kapaun and Mill Valley kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at Pittsburg State University’s Carnie-Smith Stadium. Mill Valley is looking to win its fifth consecutive state championship and seventh in the last nine seasons.
