Andover Central handles top-seeded Wamago to get to 4A title game

WAMEGO, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - With a trip to the Class 4A state championship game on the line Friday night, Andover Central pulled off a minor upset in impressive fashion, taking down Wamego, the top seed in the West Bracket, 26-7.
The Jaguars pounced on Wamego early and held a 14-0 halftime advantage. Andover Central kept the Red Raiders from mounting a serious comeback in the second half. The Jaguars, winners of six in a row, move on to face St. Thomas Aquinas in the 4A state championship game. The title bout kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Topeka-Hummer Sports Park Football Stadium, in Topeka.
