Eisenhower scores 35 answered to end Maize’s run

GODDARD, Kan. (KWCH) - Goddard Eisenhower’s dream season is now one win shy of reaching the Class 5A state championship game. To get to this point, the Tigers had to comeback against a Maize team that was looking to keep a magical run of its own going. Maize entered the postseason with a 3-5 record and early against Eisenhower, it looked as though a Cinderella story could continue.
Maize led 14-0 before Eisenhower found its way and took control, prevailing 35-14. Maize’s season ends at 5-6. Eisenhower moves to 10-1 and will take on Kapaun next week in the west bracket final (sub-state).
