Andale handles Scott City, advances in 3A playoffs

SCOTT CITY, Kan. (KWCH) - The Andale High School football team found itself in an unfamiliar position Friday night: having to travel halfway across the state for a playoff game. The Indians’ 57-game win streak, the longest in the nation, came to an end a few weeks ago at Cheney. But another streak remains very much in view.
With Friday’s 44-8 win at Scott City, Andale’s march on its quest for a fifth straight state title continues. Next up for Andale is a rematch against AVCTL IV opponent, Wichita Collegiate. In the teams’ prior meeting on Oct. 6, Andale handed Collegiate its only loss of the season, 28-7.
