Eisenhower continues perfect start, shuts door on Andover Central
GODDARD, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Goddard Eisenhower continues their perfect season with a 41-17 win over Andover Central.
The Tigers offense was clicking on all cylinders. Quarterback Derek Morgan made big throws all night long including a touchdown pass on fourth down in the Tigers opening drive.
Tigers running back Lucas Dickman was a force on the ground for Eisenhower with multiple rushing touchdowns.
Heading into Friday’s game, Eisenhower was ranked No. 3 in our class 5A rankings. With Friday’s 24-point victory over Andover Central, the Tigers continue to impress.
“Just hats off to my seniors and leadership and our guys battling through injuries,” Eisenhower head coach Darrin Fisher said. “Their hard work they’re seeing it pay off.
“Great team performance, everyone played a part,” Eisenhower quarterback Derek Morgan said. “We did exactly what we wanted to do.”
Goddard Eisenhower has high hopes to continue their winning ways, in hopes for a deep run in 5A.
“I think we can make it a long way especially in the playoffs,” Eisenhower running back Lucas Dickman said. “Historically we haven’t been that great in the playoffs, but this year is going to change.”
