Andover Central fends off Buhler in opener
Andover Central hangs on for the 20-14 win.

ANDOVER, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Andover Central built enough of a lead to fend off a late comeback attempt by Buhler, securing a 20-14 victory in the opening game of the season.
The Jaguars (1-0) started the scoring on the second play of the game when Jace Jefferson found Brandt Stupka, and he took the short reception 65 yards for a touchdown.
With a 10-0 lead at the break, Maddox Archibald broke off a 61-yard touchdown to open the third quarter.
A pair of field goals by Drew Wilborn proved to be the difference, as Buhler scored with six minutes left but was stopped on fourth down in the final seconds.
The Jaguars will travel to Maize in Week 2.
